Job summary

City of Grand Rapids seeks an IT Specialist to manage testing, configuration and implementation of the water CIS, and provide end-user support and training. You will coordinate with IT staff and vendors to improve systems and ensure compliance.

The role involves creating reports, performing maintenance, and supporting billing, meter reading, and field operations processes related to CIS interfacing applications.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • Three years of related work experience or an equivalent combination.
  • Ability to configure and maintain information systems and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-user support for hardware, network, OS and applications.
  • Review, track, and resolve system and user issues for multiple systems.
  • Configure and maintain systems; collaborate with IT and vendors.
  • Manage user access and permissions for software and hardware.
  • Create/update training materials and deliver training to users.
  • Develop reports and analyze data for management decisions.
  • Audit and monitor systems; plan installs and updates.
