Meritas Advisory Group, LLC seeks a Water Resources Project Manager (Water and Wastewater) in Parsippany, NJ, to lead municipal projects from planning through construction in a hybrid setting.
You will own scope, schedule and budget, manage a design team, coordinate with NJDEP, and maintain client relationships while developing funding strategies with state programs. This role emphasizes ownership, mentorship, and delivering compliant, high-quality solutions.
Location: Parsippany, New Jersey (Morris County). Hybrid, three days on site.
Compensation: $120,000 to $160,000 base, depending on experience, plus a discretionary year end bonus.
Our client is a privately held northern New Jersey consulting engineering firm, in business for over forty years, serving municipalities, utilities, authorities, county and state agencies, and private clients. Many of the municipal and utility clients the firm started with are still clients today. The firm is growing steadily and has been named a Best Place to Work three years running.
The water resources practice is adding a Project Manager to carry its next wave of municipal and authority work. You will take water and wastewater projects from planning and alternatives analysis through design, permitting and construction, and you will own the scope, the schedule and the budget along the way. You will be the firm's front person with NJDEP and the person the client calls.
The practice spans PFAS treatment (GAC, ion exchange, membranes), BNR, SBR and MBR processes, solids handling, distribution and collection systems, pump stations, force mains, vacuum sewer, lead service line replacement, wastewater management planning and asset management.
Candidates must be based in the United States and must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship. Candidates should be within commuting distance of Morris County, New Jersey, or prepared to fully relocate.
