The Apple Watch QA team is seeking a Software QA Engineer to help us ensure that our Watch experience is rock-solid and customer-focused. We're looking for critical thinkers who would like to play a key role qualifying Watch applications and the frameworks that support them. We practice nimble, fast-paced development that relies heavily on a tight relationship between Engineering and QA. Key Qualifications

• Passionate about Quality Assurance and WatchOS Apps
• Ability to identify issues and provide all relevant data to developers to help fix the issue.
• Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail
• Proven experience in Software Quality Assurance creating test plans for new products and features
• A phenomenal teammate who has the ability to work with developers and cross-functional QA teams
• Excellent communication skills are required due to the high level of interaction with engineering teams, management, and other organizations within Apple
• Highly organized, creative, self-motivated, and passionate about achieving results
• Experience with Xcode, XCUITesting, UIAutomation are a plus

Description

In this position you will need to be self-motivated with strong technical and interpersonal skills. Day to day tasks will involve functional testing of iOS and watchOS applications, sometimes across concurrent release vectors. Your responsibilities will include design and implementation of test plans and test cases, risk analysis, cross-functional testing coordination, and integration testing across the system.

Education & Experience

BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent on-the-job experience in software QA.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $92,700 and $179,100 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
