Job summary

The Watchmaker performs complete servicing, repair and regulation of mechanical and quartz timepieces, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met. The role includes disassembly and assembly of cases and bracelets, installing dials and hands to tight tolerances, testing timing and performance, and recording work performed.

The Watchmaker works closely with management on quality control and project work.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years watchmaking experience (2-3 years preferred).
  • Experience with escapement and hairspring adjustments; strong attention to detail and organization.

  • Complete service and repair of mechanical, quartz, in-house, ETA and modular chronograph movements.
  • Test timepieces for accuracy and performance using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Regulate timing of mechanical timepieces and perform escapement and hairspring adjustments.
  • Record quantities, serial and model numbers, and work performed for each repair.
  • Set dials and hands to tight manufacturing tolerances; disassemble and assemble cases and bracelets.
  • Collaborate with local management to ensure quality control and support temporary projects as needed.

Education

WOSTEP, SAWTA, AWCI 21 or similar watchmaking certification
