Central States Water Resources in Fayetteville, AR is seeking a Certified Operator to manage the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of our wastewater treatment facility. The role ensures regulatory compliance and ongoing plant performance, with duties spanning inspections, data entry into the SAMS system, and coordinating with field teams.

You will work 24/7 shifts, travel to local plants as needed, and participate in on-site training and safety programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Wastewater Operator Certification.
• Valid Driver License.
• Familiarity with and the ability to learn industry software.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and monitor equipment and processes to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct regular test checks on chemical levels, water quality, and equipment operations.
• Monitor water quality to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Quality control by performing routine testing of water and wastewater.
• Enter plant operation and water quality data into SAMS system for required reports.
• Record and report accurate operational data and performance metrics.
• Perform routine, corrective, and preventive maintenance on treatment equipment and systems including SCADA and VFDs.
• Operate chemical feed pumps for accurate dosing.
• Oversee grounds and building maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies and system failures.
• Travel to assigned plants in the local area.
• Work shifts as the treatment plant operates 24/7.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

The Certified Operator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and management of wastewater treatment plant. This role ensures the wastewater treatment processes comply with environmental regulations and standards. The operator will monitor wastewater treatment plant, conduct routine inspections, and perform necessary maintenance to ensure the plant's smooth operation.

Pay: $25/hr

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and monitor equipment and processes to ensure proper operation

• Monitor water quality throughout the facility to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Quality control by performing routine testing of water and wastewater to ensure compliance with regulations
• Compile and enter plant operation and water quality data into SAMS system for use in required reports
• Record and report accurate operational data and performance metrics
• Perform routine, corrective, and preventive maintenance on treatment equipment and systems, including minor electrical and mechanical repairs, SCADA system, and variable frequency drives
• Operate and maintain chemical feed pumps for accurate dosing
• Oversee grounds and building maintenance
• Respond to emergency situations and system failures
• Travel to assigned plants in the local area
• Work various shifts as the treatment plant operates 24/7
