Job summary

ProChem Water LLC is seeking a Wastewater Treatment System Operator to oversee an industrial pretreatment system outside Morgan City, LA. You will monitor system performance, perform routine water chemistry testing, manage chemical inventories, and provide day-to-day technical support to our customer.

Ideal candidates have experience in industrial maintenance, water treatment, or plant operations, with a willingness to learn and develop in pretreatment processes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide daily oversight of the industrial water pretreatment system and chemical treatment program.
• Monitor system performance and water quality through chemistry testing and site inspections.
• Maintain inventories of chemicals, testing reagents, and consumables; coordinate replenishment.
• Perform routine equipment checks, preventive maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Document results and communicate system performance to ProChem and customers.

Water Treatment System Operation | Service Representative | Industrial Wstewater Pretreatment

Commuter locations in south Louisiana: Morgan City, Houma, or Lafayette areas

ProChem is hiring a responsible, safety-minded and self-motivated Wastewater Treatment System Operator to provide day-to-day oversight of an industiral wastewater pretreatment system at our customer's facility outside Morgan City, Louisiana.

This position is responsible for montioring pretreatment system performance, performing routine water chemistry testing, managing chemical and consumable inventory, maintianing treatment equipment, documenting system performance, and providing day-to-day technical support to our customer.

This is an opportunity for someone with experience in industrial, mechanical, maintenance, chemical handling, water treatment, or plan operations. What You Will Do

Provide dailiy oversight and support of hte customer's industrial water preatreatment system and chemical treatment program.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitor and oversee daily operation of the industrial water pretreatment system to suppor treliable system performance and required water quality
• Perform routine water chemistry testing, sampling, bench testing, equipment checks, and system inspections, and accurately document results
• Monitor treatment performance and make routine operational or chemical feed adjustements within established procedures and control ranges
• Maintain chemical, testing reagent, filter, and consumable inventories, including receiving materials and coordinating replenishment needs
• PErform reoutine equipment upkeep and preventive maintenance on pumps, chemical feed equipment, filters, instrumentation, and other pretreatment equipment
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment, chemistry, and operational issues and coordinate correctie actions with ProChem and customer personnel
• Maintain accurate operating records and commnicate system performance, chemicstry trends, inventory needs, maintenance requirements, and potential concerns
• Maintain clean, safe, and organizzed treatment and chemical storage areas while following all applicable safety, PPE, chemical handling, and iste procedures
• Provide professional, daily customer support and work with ProChem's technical and account management teams to maintain and improve overall system performance

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to the customer faiclity located outside of Morgan City, Louisiana
• Ability to follow written and verbal work isntructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety requirements
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Dependable and capable of working independently while maintaining effective communiation with ProChem and customer personnel
• Strong attention to detail , particularly when performing chemistry tesitng and recording operating data
• Mechanical aptitude
• Industrial plant, utility, maintainance, or equipment operations experience preferred
• Industrial water treatment or pretreatment experience preferred but not requred
• Experience with water chemistry testing, sampling, or laboratory/field testing equipment preferred
• Experience handling industrial treatment chemicals, including corrosive chmeials, preferred
• Experience with pumps, chemical fed systems, valves, filtration equipment, piping, tanks, controls/instrumentation preferred
• Basica computer skills for data entry, reporting, email, and documenation
• Ability to read an dinterpret equipment operations manuals, operating procedures, and technical information
• Forklift experience or willingness to become forklift certified
• Wilingness to learn industrial water chemistry, pretreatment proceses, chemical feed systems, and associated equipment

Schedule

8-hour shifts, 5 days per week. Flexibility with work hours and scheudling may occasionally be required to support plan operating requirements, vacation coverage, equipment maintenance, system upsets, or other customer needs. Overtime opportunities may be available.

Physical Demands

This position includes indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions and may involve exposure to machinery noise, industrial treatment chemicals, electrical equipment, water, pumps, piping, tanks, and other industrial water treatment equipment. Ths position requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, lifting, and occasional ladder work. Candidates must be capable of safely performing the physical requiremens of the position, including material and chemical handling in accordance with ProChem and customer safety proceures.
