Pentagon Technologies, Inc. in Mesa, AZ, seeks a Wastewater Technician I/II to mix chemicals, analyze tank compositions, and treat facility waste. The role supports engineers and chemists and requires adherence to safety protocols.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM; compensation depends on level and experience, with selection based on qualifications. Travel to multiple facilities may be required; PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Strong math skills for inventory and chemistry calculations.
• Familiarity with chemical handling and safety protocols.
• Experience with hazardous waste management in industrial settings preferred.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment machinery and pumps.

Responsabilités

• Treat waste from processes and manage chemical waste, including filtration and the maintenance of chemical tanks.
• Collect and review data related to instrument performance, part pass/fail rates, and inventory usage, collaborating with engineering on baseline data monitoring.
• Inspect and process components from initial stage to completion, maintaining quality control.
• Support Chemists and Senior Wastewater Laboratory Technicians as needed.
• Maintain equipment calibration and operational status; participate in safety training as required.
• Communicate status updates, incidents, and requests with team members.

Position Summary

Asa WastewaterTechnicianat Pentagon, you willbe responsible for the mixing of chemicals, chemical analysis of tank compositions, and treating chemical waste from our facilities.

The hours for this opening are M-F, 2pm-10:30pm**

Level & Compensation

We are open to considering candidates at either the Wastewater Technician I or Wastewater Technician II level. The level and corresponding compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, technical qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors.

What You’ll Do

• Treat waste from processes and manage chemical waste, including filtration and the maintenance of chemical tanks.

Qualifications

Your Experiences, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong mathematical skills for processing inventory and performing complex calculations related to chemistry concentrations.
• Familiarity with chemical handling and safety protocols, particularly in relation to hazardous waste management.
• Experience with chemical background and hazardous waste management, particularly in industrial settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of machinery and pumps related to wastewater treatment processes.

Safety

Employee will be trained in, and is to follow and lead by example, all general safety requirements of Pentagon Technologies as well as specific safety regulatory requirements.

Work Environment

Must be able to function well in an office environment. Must also be able to work in a controlled chemical and wastewater environment. Must also be able to perform in a laboratory environment. Persons who are sensitive to chemical environments with such medical conditions as asthma, allergies, or extreme sensitivity to chemicals may not be considered as good candidates for this position. Able to travel to the various Pentagon Technologies Facilities as required. PPE is required.

Physical Demands

Must pass Company required screening tests. The employee is regularly required to sit and stand, reach with hands and arms and perform light routine office work, which includes computer workstation usage. Should be able to pick up 35 lb on occasional or regular basis.
