Job summary

City of Warren is hiring a WWTP Trainee to assist in operation and maintenance of the Waste Water Treatment Plant and pumping facilities. You will perform semi-skilled tasks and collaborate with a GELC 227 colleague on building and equipment upkeep.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, relevant post-secondary studies, and a Michigan driver’s license with a clean driving record. Salary ranges from $22.09 to $28.77 per hour, after three years of service, with a strong benefits

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of post-secondary schooling in mechanical/engineering/tech.
• Official transcripts or license when applying.
• Michigan driver’s license required with insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform varied semi-skilled tasks in Waste Water Treatment and pumping plant operations.
• Work with GELC 227 employee of higher classification on related site upkeep.
