Job summary

HKA Enterprises is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator in Little Rock, AR to monitor and control treatment processes, operate pumps, valves, and SCADA/PLC systems, and collect samples for lab analysis. You will ensure smooth plant operations on an assigned shift while maintaining equipment and safety standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the Arkansas Basic Industrial Wastewater License to be obtained within 14 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain Arkansas Basic Industrial Wastewater License within 14 months on the job.
• Knowledge of computer software including Word, Excel, Outlook and data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule work tasks for the Arkansas locations.
• Maintain equipment, conduct quality control/testing, and perform day-to-day activities on an assigned shift.
• Operate treatment facilities to control flow and processing of wastewater, sludge, and effluent.
• Monitor gauges, meters, and control panels.
• Interpret meter and gauge readings and observe operating conditions.
• Operate valves and gates manually or by remote control.
• Start and stop pumps, engines, and generators to control flow and treatment processes.
• Collect samples and perform routine laboratory tests and analyses.
• Perform routine maintenance and custodial duties.
• Make operating decisions in the absence of supervisory personnel.
• Understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues.
