Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Tech for our wastewater facilities in New Jersey. The role focuses on operating and maintaining treatment plant and collection system equipment, collecting samples, performing tests, and calibrating chemical feed systems.

The candidate will support field service, assist with on-call rotations, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Required are a high school diploma or GED and basic reading/writing skills in English.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience operating and maintaining water/wastewater systems preferred.
• Ability to interface with SCADA, CMMS and GIS systems.
• Ability to read/write English and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Operates, maintains, repairs and inspects treatment plant and collection system equipment to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Adjusts plant equipment and chemical feed systems as needed.
• Collects wastewater samples and performs tests to monitor quality.
• Inputs data into computer and calibrates equipment for proper dosing.
• Repairs and assists in maintenance with crew or contractors.
