Job summary

The City of Burlington seeks an experienced maintenance technician to support its wastewater facilities. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance across treatment plants and pump stations, monitor operations, and assist with control systems and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include data recording, equipment inspection, and responding to emergencies on weekends or evenings as required. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years in preventive and/or corrective maintenance.
• Preferred: 3 years in wastewater or industrial maintenance; journeyman electrician or DM wastewater cert.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chief Operator in maintaining wastewater treatment processes and related equipment.
• Monitor data, perform light maintenance, and operate pumps and controls.
• Document logs, follow safety procedures, and participate in on-call emergencies.
