Job summary

Jacobs in Waterbury, CT is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant and Pump Stations Electrician to join a collaborative team. Based in Waterbury, you’ll install, maintain, repair, upgrade, and troubleshoot electrical equipment, control systems, and instrumentation at the treatment plant and pump stations.

Key duties include installing and repairing VFDs, MCC buckets, motors, generators; performing preventive maintenance and safety compliance under state codes.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Electrician license.
• Must possess and maintain an E2 electrical license.
• Must possess and maintain valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to be on call.
• Proficient in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair low/medium voltage equipment, pumps, motors and control equipment.
• Repair and maintain electrical wiring and fixtures according to blueprints and codes.
• Install, troubleshoot and repair VFDs, Motor Soft Starts, MCC starter buckets.
• Perform maintenance and repair of electrical systems involving process equipment.
• Inspect and test equipment to detect malfunctions and safety hazards.
• Plan wiring layouts and maintain preventive maintenance records.
