Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in industrial wastewater treatment.
• Wastewater pretreatment regulations knowledge.
• Ability to interpret basic wastewater data and trends.
• Comfort around chemicals and mechanical systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the wastewater treatment system, pumps, and chemical feed systems.
• Adjust treatment processes based on influent characteristics common to bakery operations.
• Monitor and adjust pH control systems to maintain permit discharge limits.
• Perform routine checks, startups, shutdowns, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct wastewater sampling and assist laboratory coordination.
• Maintain logs of pH, flow, sampling events, and chemical usage.
• Support monthly wastewater reports (DMRs/SMRs) under management guidance.
• Notify management of abnormal conditions or permit exceedances.
• Perform preventive maintenance on wastewater equipment.
• Coordinate with Industrial Maintenance for work orders.
