Job summary

GBA is seeking a Wastewater Engineer - Technical SME to serve as a senior technical resource for our Water Environment teams across multiple regions. This role supports complex wastewater projects, provides high-level technical guidance, and helps strengthen engineering capability across our practice.

You will work on advanced treatment design, modeling, and system optimization, mentor engineers, and contribute to improved engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, biological engineering, agricultural engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Multi-state licensure or ability to obtain licensure in KS, MO, NE, or TX preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical guidance on complex wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects.
• Serve as a technical advisor to engineering teams across multiple offices.
• Support advanced treatment design, modeling, and system optimization.

If you enjoy applying deep technical expertise to difficult engineering problems, this role provides the platform to do it.

What You'll Do:
