Job summary

The City of Caldwell is seeking a skilled Collection System Operator III to oversee wastewater operations, supervise staff, and perform a wide range of field and lab tasks. The role emphasizes maintenance, process monitoring, and regulatory compliance at the wastewater facilities.

Ideal candidates bring several years of experience, a Class III Wastewater Certification, and the ability to respond to on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• At least four (4) years of wastewater operations experience.
• At least 6 months in a supervisor or trainer capacity.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine tasks related to facilities and grounds upkeep and maintenance.
• Operates tractors, dump trucks, and other equipment as needed.
• Monitors and operates plant processes and SCADA systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Calibrates gauges and performs laboratory tests to evaluate plant performance.
• Supervises and trains plant operators, collection system operators, and lab technicians.
• Responds to 24-hour on-call situations and adheres to safety regulations.
