Job summary

GBA is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join the Wastewater Group in Lenexa, KS for the summer. You will gain hands-on experience across water-related infrastructure projects and work with experienced engineers in a collaborative learning environment.

You will assist with design and modeling using Civil3D, AutoCAD and MicroStation; participate in field assignments and contribute to project delivery while developing your skills and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Excel preferred.
• Minimum 27 GPA strongly preferred.
• Completion of at least two years of coursework.
• Prior internship or related experience is a plus.
• Involvement in campus community or volunteer organizations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and modeling using Civil3D AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Support quality control processes and follow client design standards.
• Assist with design calculations and plan development.
• Participate in field assignments and inspections.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary design team.
