Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Laborer to perform general labor duties at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center or landfill. Responsibilities include yard cleanup, fueling vehicles, operating site equipment, and basic maintenance.

The role supports safe, efficient operations across multiple facilities in the region, with opportunities for skill growth and cross-functional tasks. Eligible employees can access comprehensive benefits, retirement plans, PTO, and stock purchase

Qualifications

General labor skills and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
Commitment to safety and following procedures.
Ability to operate light vehicles and equipment as needed.
Willingness to perform janitorial and basic maintenance duties.

Responsibilities

Clean up work areas and maintain tidy sites.
Fuel vehicles and equipment as required.
Clean tracks on track-type equipment and related gear.
Perform yard work including mowing and paper pickup.
Operate general site vehicles and equipment (water trucks, pickups, sweepers, mowers, trimming tools).
Perform office maintenance and basic repairs (painting, janitorial tasks).
Install temporary wind fences when needed.
Direct traffic at the site as necessary.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
