Job summary

SIMCO, LLC is seeking a qualified Waste Information Tracking System IDC Programmer to join the team in Carlsbad, NM. The role focuses on analyzing requirements, designing solutions, and delivering VB.NET-based software within an SDLC framework while administering SQL Server databases.

The position requires a BS in CS/IT with 3+ years’ related experience, U.S. work authorization, and the ability to obtain a DOE badge. Preferred expertise includes ASP.NET and QA in an NQA-1 environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent required with 3+ years’ related experience.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without SIMCO sponsorship.
• Ability to obtain a DOE badge and comply with site security requirements.
• Familiarity with QA in an NQA-1 environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop software requirements with project participants and translate into design docs.
• Implement designs in VB.NET to deliver complete software solutions.
• Perform maintenance, updates, and test planning within the SDLC.
• Provide application support and process data change requests.
• Administer Microsoft SQL Server databases including tuning and job scheduling.
