Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Experience as a compactor technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and identify issues with compactors quickly and accurately.
  • Weld and perform site repairs including power units and chutes.
  • Proficiency with tools for diagnostics, repairs and maintenance.
  • Electrical troubleshooting and PLC interfacing to keep equipment operational.
  • Provide detailed repair reports and maintain records of parts used and time spent.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians in compactor maintenance and repair.
  • Attend or conduct training sessions with other technicians.
