Job summary

SmartConnect Qatar is seeking a QA Tester based in Washington to ensure the quality and functionality of our software products before release. You will work with developers, designers, and product managers to understand requirements and identify issues. This is a contract position with accommodation provided.

You will develop test plans, execute manual and automated tests, report defects, and collaborate to reproduce and verify fixes. A biometric passport for international travel is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies and tools.
• Ability to write clear and concise bug reports.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases.
• Strong communication skills in English, written and verbal.
• Biometric passport required for international travel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements.
• Develop test plans and strategies based on project specifications.
• Execute manual and automated tests to identify bugs and defects.
• Document issues found during testing and provide detailed reports to developers.
• Work with developers to reproduce bugs, track their status and verify fixes.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and testability.
• Continuously improve testing processes by identifying areas for automation or optimization.
