Job summary

Position

Warranty & Training Technician

Full-Time / Part-Time: Full-Time

Shift: Days

Overview

Provides field service support, manages installation, repairs, maintenance, and testing tasks, and develops and conducts product training programs.

Responsibilities

• Trainer:
  • Orientates new customers on truck operations and maintenance (travel required).
  • Trains dealers on orienting new trucks.
  • Ensures trainers convey consistent information to fire departments.
• Service Mechanic:
  • Perform in-field repairs to trucks (travel required).
• Maintenance:
  • Assist production manager with maintenance projects.
  • Assist with building parts for in-house projects.
  • Assist with building aerial items as needed.
• Other Duties:
  • Participate/teach in annual mechanical school training.
  • Assist with CRMs as needed.
  • Assist with inbound calls and parts shipments as needed.
  • Coordinate training/familiarization schedules.
  • Develop a yearly development plan with your manager and lead to meet goals with status updates and deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education & Physical Requirements

Experience:

• Mechanical and electrical background
• Welding experience

Preferred Education:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent

Physical Requirements:

• Standing 85% of the time
• Bending, kneeling, and crouching
• Relocate or move 50 lbs.
• Climb in and out of a forklift multiple times per shift

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Certifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Good communication and presentation skills
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
• Ability to stay updated on current and past product design
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Travel 50% – 75%

Certifications:

• Certified Welder
• Continuing education on Aerial
• CDL Class A License
• Valid and current passport

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

This position is in a general shop and may work outdoors. Temperature can vary by season. Hazards come from machinery; following proper procedures minimizes risk. The role requires exposure to the elements and appropriate safety equipment.

• Use of feet, hands, and fingers for extended periods
• Seasonal requirement for protective apparel
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
