Job summary

Stellantis NV seeks a Warranty Specialist to drive cost recovery with supplier partners and cross-functional teams across North America. You will leverage negotiation skills, system knowledge, and automotive industry know-how to protect warranty value and strengthen supplier relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, CS, or a technical discipline.
  • 8+ years in purchasing, automotive, or related field.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills to support meetings at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation and ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely system debiting with suppliers and resolve debiting questions.
  • Identify system errors and supplier inaccuracies in debits.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Finance, Engineering, and IT to resolve conflicts and debit suppliers accurately.
  • Execute controls to ensure ongoing recovery performance.
  • Complete special projects related to recovery topics and supplier disputes as needed.
  • Develop and maintain business rules and IT requirements for recovery programs.

The Warranty Specialist has a dynamic role that connects strong supplier negotiation skills and systems knowledge with an interest in technical knowledge. You will play a crucial role in ensuringcost recovery from our supplier partners, maintaining supplier relationships, building a valuable network throughout Stellantis, and helping improve the product for our customers. We are looking for an individual with experience in negotiation, supplier management,cross-functional management of challenging situations, andtechnicalunderstanding of the automotive industry.

In this role you will:

  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of system debiting and work with suppliers to answer questions and resolve debiting disputes.
  • Scrutinize system results in identifying system errors and/or supplier responsible inaccuracies.
  • Collaborate with FCA Purchasing, Finance, Engineering, Customer Experience, Customer Relations, Warranty Operations, Supplier Quality, Parts Return Group, and Supplier Personnel to resolve conflicts and systematically debit suppliers accurately.
  • Execute defined controls to ensure accurate ongoing recovery performance.
  • Complete special projects related to recovery topics and supplier disputes as needed.
  • Collaborate with IT managers, business analysts, and programmers to maintain system performance, identify and implement business rule changes, drive system enhancement, and break/fix initiatives.
  • Work with stakeholder organizations to identify impacted roles and revise existing processes and work instructions to implement recovery programs.
  • Support IT systems operated by the North America Warranty Recovery Group.
  • Administer the seven systems used to recover funds for supplier responsible issues.
  • Support the development of new warranty recovery programs including interpreting contractual recovery terms, defining business requirements, documenting IT requirements, developing user acceptance test cases, ensuring completion of unit and system testing, develop and maintain user training for all 30,000+ stakeholders, and successfully implement new recovery programs and system enhancements.
  • Support development, implementation and maintenance of business rules to enable the automation of recovery processing.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, computer science, or another technical discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in purchasing, automotive industry, or related field
  • Excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills to support meetings at all levels
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills to establish partnerships both internally and externally to influence without direct authority
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to think and act strategically and sell ideas and solutions to others
  • Well organized and resourceful managing complex situations
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and can effectivelyinterface withcross-functional teams and all levels of senior management
  • Ability to understand basic technical topics
  • Undisputed integrity
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (especially Excel)
