Job summary
An automotive service provider in Highland, Indiana is looking for a Warranty Specialist. - Maintain warranty receivables and ensure compliance.
WARRANTY JOB DESCRIPTION
- Understand DMS and Manufacturer systems to repair orders, submit claims, check vehicle coverage and repair history
- Have a clear understanding of the manufacturer policies and procedures
- Book and review job cards for proper documentation for labor time, tech stories, cause and correction, replacement parts, authorization codes, service management approval, sublets, customer reimbursements, deductibles... etc.
- Be able to communicate with technicians and service management and parts personnel for needed items and not afraid to speak up when mandatory requirements are missing
- Submit claims on a daily basis and process any rejections
- Maintain warranty receivables less than 45 days. Review schedule at minimum, once a week.
- Achieve and maintain average age of paid claims at or less than 3 days
- Assure warranty sales and receivable are posted to the proper accounts
- Achieve and maintain a 90% above paid claim ratio on each memo
- Keep an organized file of pending claims
- Maintain vehicle history thru the DMS archiving system DSDA
- Acquire and disseminate information regarding changes to warranty policy and procedures, including coverage changes to all service personnel
- Communicate and assist Service Management with resolving problem claims with District Service Management and Warranty Specialist
- Assure prior to closing any job card that it is compliant with the manufacturer policies and procedures
- Book and submit claims to Dealer Resource using Warranty Group website. Maintain DRS receivables less than 60 days. Review schedule at minimum once a month.
