Job summary

TransChicago Truck Group is seeking a Warranty Administrator to prepare warranty documents, submit paperwork to manufacturers, and track claims through resolution. The role covers scheduling warranty appointments, coordinating with vendors for replacement parts, and staying current on factory recalls.

The position can be based at any dealership location, requiring strong PC skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate invoicing and record keeping.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience working in dealerships or with OEMs.
  • Experience managing warranty claims from start to finish.
  • Ability to operate and understand PC-based programs and invoicing.

Responsibilities

  • Process warranty claims on a timely basis for each franchise or distributor.
  • Process all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation.
  • Verify criteria required by factory or distributor.
  • Track warranty parts by tagging with repair order number, date of replacement, and disposal date.
  • Arrange for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor or to be scrapped.
  • File and maintain all service records as required by the warrantor.
  • Keep informed of all factory recalls and bulletins.

You will also be responsible for scheduling warranty appointments, coordinating with vendors for replacement parts, and keep up-to-date on factory recalls and announcements. This role can be based at any of our dealership locations.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Process all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation.
  • Verify criteria required by factory or distributor.
  • Track warranty parts by tagging with repair order number, date of replacement, and date on which part may be disposed.
  • Arrange for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor or to be scrapped.
  • File and maintain all service records as required by the warrantor.
  • Keep informed of all factory recalls and bulletins.
Education and/or required experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience working in dealerships or with OEMs required.
  • Prior experience managing warranty claims from start to finish a must.
  • Ability to operate and understand various PC-based programs and invoicing.
