Job summary

Join the Travis County Sheriff’s Office in Austin, TX, as the shift supervisor for Records Analysts on the evening or midnight shift within Central Warrants. This 100% on-site role involves warrant intake, data verification, TCIC/NCIC entry, and ensuring CJIS/TLETS compliance, reporting to the Central Warrants Manager, and collaborating with multiple agencies to deliver audit-ready records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5 years of professional records management experience with at least 1 year in supervision.
• Equivalent combination of education/experience suffices to perform duties.
• Must submit a resume with online application.
• Must complete TLETS/TCIC training within 6 months of assignment if not already completed.
• Familiarity with records management technologies and databases.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a small team of Records Analysts and Records Analyst Associates; set priorities and approve time and leave.
• Lead shift culture, set expectations, provide feedback, and coach staff.
• Oversee the shift’s legal orders process: TCIC/NCIC entry, validation, modification, and archiving.
• Ensure SOPs are followed and continuously improved.
• Monitor queues, track accuracy and turnaround times, publish shift reports.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Records Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Library and Information Sciences or a directly related field

Five (5) years of professional records management experience including one (1) year of supervisory or management experience
