Company Overview

Falcon Maritime and Aviation is a full-service international transportation and logistics company specializing in customized freight forwarding and supply chain solutions for over 60 years. We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused Warehouseman / Forklift Operator to join our warehouse operations team.

This position plays a critical role in the safe handling, movement, and organization of freight within our warehouse facilities.

Position Overview

The Warehouseman / Forklift Operator is responsible for loading, unloading, receiving, storing, and handling cargo within the warehouse environment. This role requires prior forklift operating experience, strong attention to safety procedures, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, safety conscious, and capable of handling freight carefully and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and freight shipments
• Receive and inspect inbound cargo for damage or discrepancies
• Organize and stage freight within warehouse locations
• Assist with palletizing, labeling, wrapping, and cargo preparation
• Verify freight counts, markings, and shipment information
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization
• Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse protocols
• Assist warehouse office staff with cargo identification and handling as needed
• Report damaged freight, shortages, or operational issues promptly

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse experience required
• Forklift operating experience required
• Current forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification)
• Ability to safely lift and move freight
• Strong attention to detail and safety procedures
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and freight handling
• Experience in freight forwarding or logistics is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
• Ability to lift and move heavy freight consistent with warehouse operations
• Comfortable working in a physically active warehouse environment

Due to the nature of the freight and regulatory requirements associated with certain shipments handled by the company, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
