Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Yard Jockey/Truck Driver in Riverside, CA. You will move trailers in the yard, couple and uncouple to staging areas, and operate yard trucks to ensure timely loading and unloading in a fast-paced distribution center.

The role requires a Class A CDL with a current medical card and a clean driving record. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work with two-way radios in a busy yard environment.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift/move boxes up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Timely movements of trailers in the yard.
• Communicate with warehouse staff via two-way radio.

• Slide tandems to meet bridge laws and safety standards.
• Check trailers for safety and overall condition.
• Other duties as assigned.

You'll also be responsible for moving trailers around the lot and preparing them to be loaded, as well as shuttling trailers to offsite locations. Your organizational skills will be critical in your efforts to maintain a neat and orderly lot to maximize efficiency.You'll safely operate the Yard Truck to transfer trailers between doors and staging pads. Your attention to detail is critical, as this is a low mileage severe duty function requiring particular attention to preventative maintenance checks and services as well as actual scheduled vehicle maintenance.
