Job summary

Hireology in Nampa, Idaho is seeking a dependable Yard Attendant to unload railcars, monitor storage levels, and service walk-in customers. You will manage yard inventory, organize office stock, and coordinate with vendors to keep items stocked.

Shifts begin at 8am, Monday–Friday, with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and excellent customer service. This role offers growth opportunities in the rail and logistics industry.

• Live and embody core values daily.
• Unloading Railcars/ Monitoring storage level daily.
• Operation of counter sales LP dispenser.
• Service the needs of walk in customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of Nampa Yard.
• Assist customers on phone when able.
• Stock and organize retail items in office.
• Manage inventory of yard related items and coordinate with vendors to ensure items remain stocked.
• Take ownership of the entire yard.
• Expand skills and knowledge of the industry consistently learning more.

• Report all negative incidents to management promptly.

• Complete required paperwork daily.

• Do your work with safety as the number 1 priority.

• Be a team player, be willing to help wherever help is needed.

• Keep a good attitude with customers and always take care of them.

• Address concerns with management before they become a problem.

• Prioritize unloading of railcars by watching percentages.

• Advise management when unloading railcar with information off railcar.

• Communicate with office staff when going to lunch or any discrepancies on paperwork.
