Job summary

Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) in Portage, WI is seeking a warehouse associate to load and unload trucks, maintain shipping/receiving records, verify products, and keep the work area clean.

You will collaborate with office staff and truckers, report deficiencies, and participate in process improvements to ensure food safety and quality. High School Diploma or GED preferred; forklift certification preferred.

• Report and communicate critical information during shift changeovers.
• Continuously look for process improvement opportunities and effectively communicate to others.
• Inventory control and consolidation.
• Adhere to all Quality, Food Safety, GMP, and AMPI Safety Policies & Procedures, reporting any nonconformity.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• All AMPI employees have an obligation to report employee safety, food safety and food quality issues to personnel of authority.
• This position has heightened food safety and food quality responsibilities.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Maintain shipping and receiving records.
• Verify correct products are shipped out.
• Maintain excellent communication with office employees and truckers.
• Responsible for keeping the work area clean.
• Document and communicate production deficiencies to management.
• Report and communicate critical information during shift changeovers.
• Continuously look for process improvement opportunities and effectively communicate to others.
• Inventory control and consolidation.
• Adhere to all Quality, Food Safety, GMP, and AMPI Safety Policies & Procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
• Other duties as assigned.
• An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.
