Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to fill the role of Warehouse Worker. This is a seasonal position only.

AVI Foodsystems is a respected food service company offering training and growth opportunities. This season, the Warehouse Worker will support distribution, receiving, order filling, stock maintenance and inventory control in Fort Wayne, IN, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous large food warehouse experience is preferred.
• Great work ethic.
• Ability to be exposed to temperature extremes and humidity.
• Ability to maintain a fast pace and multi-task.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all functions of the distribution and receiving for the warehouse
• Receive products coming into the warehouse
• Verify quantity and description of products
• Assemble and fill orders to be shipped
• Stock incoming orders
• Maintain accurate physical inventories
• Ensure all distribution and receiving in a timely and orderly manner
• Follow proper receiving procedures
• Comply with all AVI policies and procedures, including but not limited to security procedures
• Communicate any issues of concern to management
