Job summary

Penske Logistics in Sacramento, CA is seeking warehouse associates to join a safety-conscious team. You will operate manual and electric pallet jacks, load/unload trailers, and prepare orders in refrigerated, freezer, or non-climate-controlled environments.

First shift 4/10 from 4:00am to 2:30pm with weekends/holidays required. Starting wage $23.70 per hour plus comprehensive benefits and discount programs.

Qualifications

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required.
• Flexible to work overtime preferred.
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to work independently, customer service, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, and time management skills required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately stage and sort products for loading
• Loads and unloads trailers
• Stacks cardboard boxes and pallets
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Ensure damaged products are identified and removed when received
• Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department
• Operate manual and electric pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
