Job summary

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits in Memphis is seeking a Lead Warehouse Worker to support warehouse operations, provide training and direction to teammates, and ensure accurate receipt, stocking, and loading of shipments. The role requires OSHA forklift certification and a solid understanding of modern warehousing practices to maintain efficiency and accuracy on the floor.

You will follow safety rules, participate in routine inventory counts, meet schedules, and operate or arrange maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency plus 1 year of experience.
• Forklift certification in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Knowledge of modern warehousing practices and methods.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check-in merchandise from inbound shipments, compare to purchase orders or other documents.
• Fill case and bottle orders for products.
• Train and provide work direction for others.
• Load delivery trucks and other outbound shipments of billed orders.
• Maintain and prepare records, as required.
• Operate warehouse equipment and arrange for maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment as needed.
• Restock daily bottle and case inventory sold.
• Meet schedules and timelines.
• Participate in inventory counts as directed.
• Understand the safety rules and requirements in the workplace.
• Attend safety meetings and take all safety classes, as needed.
• Ensure warehouse equipment service needs, safety needs, and other safety issues are reported promptly.
• Responsible for filling out the equipment report before usage.
• Accountable for meeting operational efficiency goals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Overview

The Lead Warehouse Worker is responsible for providing guidance and participates in warehouse operations. This position will train, provide work direction, and responsible for one or more of the following job duties: receiving, stocking, and loading

Minimum Qualifications

Physical Demands

• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
• Must be able to frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 48pounds
• Must be able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift, pallet jacks, and battery change stations
• Work may involve repetitive motions, working at varying heights, and exposure to warehouse environmental conditions
• Extended hours, overtime, weekends, and peak‑season schedules may be required
