Job description

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a dedicated and passionate Shipping and Receiving Associate with Forklift Experience. This position will also require a driver with a good driving record for deliveries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both warehouse operations and timely deliveries, while maintaining excellent customer service for both internal and external customers.

Job Duties:
  • Load, unload, pick, put away, consolidate, stack, and stage products and materials using a forklift, pallet jack, or other power equipment.
  • Safely operate vehicles for deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs.
  • Ensure delivery items are handled properly and arrive in excellent condition.
  • Follow specific work instructions and best practices to safely and accurately complete daily assignments and record indirect time in a timely manner.
  • Record receipts to appropriate forms and/or log books.
  • Verify that proper documentation is attached.
  • Inspect each pallet and/or case for proper quantities, items, brands, lot codes (as applicable), damages, and follow any special instructions.
  • Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management. Identify process improvements.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Participate in all assigned training programs and adhere to all guidelines.
  • Perform forklift duties and learn to containerize basic loads.
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
  • Assist in various warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, storing equipment, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Driver with a good record for deliveries – must have a clean driving history and be responsible for handling and delivering items safely.
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate a forklift and meet medium-level physical exertion requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds frequently, up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Experience in warehouse/distribution center operations.
  • Basic math and reading skills to perform job tasks and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded Forklift Operators with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and be willing to work long hours when necessary.
  • A positive, helpful demeanor with a commitment to providing the best in customer service.
