Job summary

Cardinal Health is hiring for a Warehouse Associate II to support inbound and outbound operations in a distribution setting. You will unload trucks, check in products in the Manhattan system, store items in appropriate locations, and load outbound shipments.

The role requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, willingness to obtain necessary equipment certifications, and flexibility to work 6:00am–2:30pm with potential overtime and a mandatory last Saturday of each month.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience, preferred
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be willing to be certified on equipment (e.g. reach trucks and cherry pickers)

Responsibilities

• Unloads trucks in the Inbound section using a pallet jack or similar devices.
• Uses Manhattan Warehouse Management System to check in products; follow regulations to store refrigerated products if needed.
• Stores products in warehouse locations using order picker or other equipment.
• Picks products from warehouse locations and loads into outbound trucks.

The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

Hours for this position are: 6:00am - 2:30pm (or working until the work is complete) Monday - Friday. Must be flexible to work overtime based on business needs. Must be available to work last Saturday of each month mandatory.

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Job Summary

The Assoc II, Warehouse Ops assists on Inbound or Outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor meeting quality, safety, productivity and operational standards. This job receives products in the Inbound section. As far as the outbound section, this job ships products.

• Unloads trucks in the Inbound section by using a pallet jack or equivalent devices to pull pallets out of the trucks.
• Uses Manhattan Warehouse Management System to check in products. If working with specialty products, must follow regulations to store refrigerated products.
• Stores products in warehouse locations using order picker or other pieces of warehouse equipment.
• Picks products from warehouse locations and loads into outbound trucks.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience, preferred
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfort working with heights 20-30 ft regularly operating equipment
• Must be willing to be certified on equipment i.e. reach trucks and cherry pickers
