POOLCORP is seeking a Warehouse Associate/Backup Driver in Houston to receive and pull orders, load trucks, and ensure accurate and on-time deliveries in a fast-paced setting.

You’ll operate a forklift, maintain inventory, and follow DOT/FMCSR requirements, contributing to a safe, efficient distribution operation. CDL-A with HazMat is required with a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with Hazmat endorsement.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• MVR/PSP with minimal violations in recent years.

Responsibilities

• Pull, pack and prepare orders for delivery or pickup.
• Assist in loading delivery trucks and unloading shipments.
• Receive shipments and maintain inventory through audits.
• Operate forklift safely and perform vehicle safety checks.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and safety; follow DOT/FMCSR regulations.

Our Backup Drivers will fill in as needed making safe, complete, accurate and on-time deliveries to customers while complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) and other applicable regulations.On a daily basis our Warehouse Associate:Accurately pulls, fills, packs and sets up orders for delivery or pickup.Assists in loading the delivery truck.Receives shipments, logs into inventory, maintains inventory through audits.Communicates positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up.Operates a forklift safely and efficiently, maintains required certification, performs vehicle safety checks and reports discrepancies to supervisor.Assists in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently.Other duties as assigned.On an as needed basis our backup drivers:Make deliveries using the most effective route to ensure orders are delivered on time.Load and unload the vehicle, ensuring that all products are properly secured, and hazardous material is separated appropriately.Collect payments and accurately document delivery.Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)).Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and inform supervisor of any maintenance needed.Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and presentable on a daily basis.Increase job and product knowledge on an ongoing basis.Perform other duties as assigned.What You Will Need:To be at least 21 years old.A valid driver's license (Commercial Driver’s License, CDL, if applicable), preferably with HAZMAT endorsement.A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) indicating no more than 2 combined violations or at fault accidents in the past 3 years.High school diploma or GED.Ability to maneuver heavy objects, some weighing up to 100 pounds.Prior forklift experience.Follow and carry out instructions with minimal supervision.Prior experience in distribution, general labor or warehousing preferred.Looking to work for the best in the industry?Look no further than POOLCORP, the world's leading distributor of outdoor living products.
