Job Description

This position performs working-level duties in receiving, storing, and shipping functions. Responsibilities include stocking materials in an organized manner, inspecting and counting incoming items, rejecting damaged goods, recording shortages, reviewing documentation, maintaining stock records, moving materials between locations, and operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and packaging tools.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and monitor daily production workload.
• Receive stock from suppliers and manage inventory control.
• Prepare pallets for shipment, load and unload trucks, and operate equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Drive cars and trucks with valid licenses as needed.
• Coordinate receipt, movement, and inventory with vendors and departments.
• Review and interpret documentation related to inventory and shipments.
• Maintain a computer-based inventory system and monitor warehouse activities.
• Record shortages and follow up with suppliers to resolve damages or shortages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, intermediate computer and math skills, and at least 2 years of warehousing or related experience.
• Preference for internal Church warehousing experience and experience operating motorized handling equipment.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Physical ability to lift/move items up to 50 lbs. alone and occasionally 100 lbs. with assistance, and operate equipment like pallet jacks.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, training, and leadership skills.
• Experience with warehouse management systems and handheld scanners is preferred.
