Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Warehouse Worker at our Minnesota facility to support shipping and receiving operations. You will perform general warehouse duties, operate a forklift, and help ensure accurate, timely handling of products in a safe environment.

The role requires standing, lifting up to 90 pounds, and working in multi-temperature areas (cooler, freezer, and dry). A post-offer drug test and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Ability to work scheduled times and overtime.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly.
• Ability to lift 10-35 lbs and up to 60-90 lbs depending on location.
• Ability to work in cooler, freezer and dry environments.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Performs general warehouse duties including forklift put-away, let-downs, will-call selection, returns, sanitation, break down pallets, wrapping pallets, order selection, loading, and receiving.
• Performs general housekeeping duties and keep warehouse area clear and clean; report unsafe conditions.
• Performs daily safety check of the assigned forklift/pallet jack.
• Performs damage checks on items received and contact supervisor about removing items.
• Removes batteries and replaces with charged batteries; completes vehicle inspection checklist.
• Reviews work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepares for operations.
• Wears all required PPE and safety gear.
• Meets productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Secures all equipment and completes all necessary paperwork.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

Warehouse associates are the foundation to our company's success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, while ensuring quality standards. As a Warehouse, Worker, you will support the shipping and/or receiving functions activities within our warehouse.

The Warehouse, Worker performs shipping and/or receiving functions in a timely manner while maintaining inventory and warehouse work areas, observing all safety regulations, and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Performs general warehouse duties as assigned including but not limited to forklift put-away, let-downs, will-call selection, returns, sanitation, break down pallets, wrapping pallets, order selection, loading, and receiving.
• Performs general housekeeping duties and keep warehouse area, loading dock and trailers clear and clean as required. Ensures work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
• Performs daily safety check of the assigned forklift/pallet jack in accordance with company policy.
• Performs damage control checks on items received and contact supervisor about removing items according to company policy.
• Removes batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries and complete vehicle inspection checklist. Follows all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.
• Reviews work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations.
• Puts on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
• Meets required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 1+ years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience 6+ months of experience operating a forklift and/or pallet jack
• Foodservice distribution or related industry experience
