Job summary

OLM Food Solutions in Sioux Falls, SD is hiring a full-time Warehouse Worker (Material Handler). You will support shipping/receiving, pick orders, load trucks, and maintain inventory in a multi-temperature distribution facility. Starting pay is $20/hr with a schedule of 8:00 am–6:30 pm, Monday–Thursday.

Applicants should have at least 6 months of warehouse experience, be able to lift up to 90 lbs, and pass drug/background checks. Benefits provided and room for growth available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months warehouse/distribution experience.
• Able to work scheduled times and overtime.
• Stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly.
• Lifts up to 10-35 lbs and up to 60-90 lbs depending on location.
• Experience operating forklift and pallet jack preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders from stock and place on a pallet.
• Load trucks and verify orders.
• Relocate inventory prior to loading.
• Stage material for orders.
• Put pallets away after unloading trailers.
• Complete safety and equipment inspections.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

OLM Food Solutions is taking applications for a full-time warehouse worker(Material Handler) in their Sioux Falls, SD location. Hours are 8 am - 6:30 pm, Monday - Thursday. Starting pay is $20/hr. Position Purpose:

Warehouse associates are the foundation to our company's success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, while ensuring quality standards. As a warehouse worker, you will support the shipping and/or receiving functions activities within our warehouse. The material handler is a member of a team that maintains warehouse stock that is received, inventoried and distributed as instructed.

Essential Functions

• Must be able to pick customer orders from stock and place the items on a pallet.
• Must have the ability to load the truck with product and understand the importance of verifying and checking the order.
• Relocate inventory to the appropriate place prior to loading the trucks.
• Stage material for orders.
• Put pallets away after unloading trailers.
• Complete mandatory inspection of trailer prior to loading.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Complete a safety inspection of equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience

Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position

Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift

Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift

Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer and dry

Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Preferred qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

1+ years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience 6+ months of experience operating a forklift and/or pallet jack

Foodservice distribution or related industry experience
