Responsibilities

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for department support and knowledge in all aspects of the responsibilities of a assigned department

Essential Duties:

  • Use radio frequency or picking, receiving, and storing function, as required.
  • Check contents of orders picked and assembled by the order pickers.
  • Compare the quantity, quality, labeling and address with the customer’s order to ensure that outgoing shipments are complete and correct.
  • Operate product handling equipment, including a forklift, efficiently, and safely while loading and unloading freight.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
  • Perform labeling, sorting, and repacking as needed.
  • Perform inventory procedures accurately and with the utmost integrity.
  • General Business support function as assigned.
  • Assures correct piece count, quality of product and correct shipping information.
  • Able to operate all warehouse equipment.
  • Is cross trained and can work in multiple warehousing functions or shifts.
Qualifications

High School Diploma, equivalency certificate or significant relevant or appropriate working experience.

· Approximately 5 years of service as a Warehouse Worker or Warehouse Checker.

· Demonstrates expert knowledge in all aspects of the warehouse.

· To be promoted into this position, an employee must score a 3 or higher on their Performance Evaluation during the last two years of service

Organization Relationships

  • This position will interact with all levels of employees at the branch, including colleagues, leadership staff, and office personnel.

Work Environment

  • This position requires physical demands to include, but not limited to standing, walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, and carrying heavy objects repeatedly.
  • Warehouse environment may be noisy and subject to varying temperatures.
  • Will work alongside drivers who are moving pallets on different types of forklifts.
