Job summary

AMADA in California is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, store and distribute materials and products across the facility, following production schedules and orders.

You will move items using lifts or handtrucks, enter data into the computer, prepare parcels for shipping and maintain accurate inventory records.

Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail are essential, with minimal travel and the ability to handle multiple priorities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
• Convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials by size, type, style, color or product code on racks or bins.
• Fill requisitions and distribute materials to shipping.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place on pallets or shelves for packing or shipping.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Open containers and record amounts received or distributed.
• Weigh or count items for distribution and ensure conformance to company standards.
• Arrange stock parts in sequence for assembly by other workers.
• Use computer to enter records.
• Prepare parcels for shipping and maintain inventory records.
• Operate lift truck or handtruck to move items to shipping and storage.

Receives, stores and distributes materials, tools, equipment and products within establishments by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
• Fill requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distributes items to shipping.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Open bales, crates and other containers.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weigh or count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
• Use computer to enter records.
• Prepare parcels for shipping. Maintain inventory records.
• Operate lift truck or use handtruck to move, convey or hoist materials to and from shipping and receiving platforms, delivery trucks, storage or work areas.
