Job summary

PACE Supply Corp. opens a new Honolulu, HI branch and seeks a motivated Warehouse Associate to join our team. You will prepare merchandise, fill and package orders, and support counter sales to ensure fast, accurate service.

You’ll work under supervision with occasional forklift use, lifting up to 50 lbs, and you’ll help keep inventory and records organized while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong time management and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent verbal, written, and reading communication skills.

• Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Basic math and counting up to four digits.
• Proficiency with basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Prepare merchandise for customers by filling and packaging orders.
• Receive and prioritize orders via supervisor tags.
• Retrieve items from inventory using manual methods or forklifts.
• Prepare materials for delivery or pickup with proper packaging and labeling.
• Verify accuracy and timeliness of filled orders.
• Complete bills of lading for deliveries.
• Maintain organized files for pickup orders.
• Assist Express Will Call Customers to expedite processing.
• Assist with counter sales by entering orders.
• Foster a positive work atmosphere with customers and coworkers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Schedule

Monday- Friday, 800am start time

• Under direct supervision, prepares merchandise for customers by promptly filling and packaging orders for will call or shipping.
• Receive and prioritize orders through supervisor-issued work tags.
• Retrieve items from inventory using manual methods and/or forklifts.
• Prepare materials for delivery or pick-up by customers, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
• Verify the accuracy and timeliness of filled orders before delivery or pick-up.
• Complete bills of lading for materials being delivered to customers.
• Maintain organized files for customer pick-up orders, noting relevant information on invoices.
• Serve "Express Will Call Customers" promptly to expedite order processing.
• Assist with counter sales by entering orders into the system and pulling/loading orders.
• Foster a positive work atmosphere by cooperating and communicating effectively with customers, co-workers, and managers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

• High school diploma or equivalent credential required.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal, written, and reading communication skills.
• Dedication to delivering excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Proficient in time management, consistently meeting responsibilities within designated timeframes.

Physical Requirements

• The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
• Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Environmental Conditions

• The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
• Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
