Job summary

McLane is hiring a Warehouse Worker in Kentucky. The role involves moving and stocking products across Dry, Refrigerated, Perishables, and Freezer zones, operating pallet jacks and reach trucks, and loading trucks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must learn to operate an electric pallet jack within 90 days.
• Able to perform accurate visual inspections and lift 50 lbs or more.
• Must read, write, and understand English well enough to perform job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate various warehouse areas (Dry, Refrigerated, Perishables, Freezer).
• Learn to drive and use reach trucks and pallet jacks to select, pull, sort and stack products.
• Load trucks and move products between loading dock and warehouse.
• Provide freezer gear and safety equipment as needed.
• Review documents and verify quantities and conditions of products.
• Hand-stack items when off-balance or mislocated.
• Shrink-wrap and label outgoing orders; remove shrink wrap from incoming orders.
• Maintain clean work area and perform other duties as assigned.

• Pay rate: Training/Starting pay (based on experience)- $20.75 per hour, 100% Production - $23.75 per hour, with potential of additional pay incentives.

• Schedule:

  1st shift- 8am start time, 4-day work week. Sundays are required and must be willing to work in Freezer, OR

  3rd shift- 10pm start time, Sunday-Thursday OR Tuesday-Saturday schedule.

What you'll do as a Warehouse Worker:

• May work in various areas of the warehouse such as Dry, Refrigerated, Perishables, Freezer, and others.
• Learn to drive and operate a reach truck and pallet jack to select, pull, sort, and stack product within the warehouse and dock.
• Select product and load trucks, moving product between the loading dock and the warehouse and moving product within the warehouse.
• McLane provides freezer suits, hats, and gloves to you.
• Review documents and record information; verify quantity, identity, availability, and condition of product.
• Hand-stack product on occasion when items are off balance or in the wrong location.
• Shrink-wrap and label outgoing orders and remove shrink wrap from incoming orders.
• Clean work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Warehouse Teammate:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Must learn to operate electric pallet jack within 90 days.
• Able to perform accurate visual inspections and repeatedly lift to 50 pounds or more.

• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
