Job description

Job Overview:

The Spartanburg operation is a state-of-the-art coffee roasting and pod packaging facility, also hosting a full beverage distribution center. It is one of the largest KDRP manufacturing and distribution locations, operating on TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles, Lean manufacturing, and High Performance Teams. Associates are accountable to both a functional business unit and the full site operation. The site utilizes advanced enterprise IT and warehouse systems with highly automated processing, packaging, and material movement equipment.

Role Summary:

As a Warehouse Worker, you will apply warehousing and distribution knowledge to maintain safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture. You will contribute to the DC's operational performance, understand warehouse operations and systems, and work hands-on to optimize efficiency, monitor performance, troubleshoot, and participate in continuous improvement. The environment is highly automated, TPM-based, and involves inbound, outbound, and raw material areas.

Shift & Schedule:
  • Full-time Night Shift, 12-hour schedule, on a 3-4 rotation with flexibility for overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • 6:30 pm - 7:00 am
  • Week 1: Sunday-Tuesday
  • Week 2: Saturday-Tuesday
Responsibilities:
  • Performance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhere to 6S standards, perform safety observations, and lead in emergency protocols.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pick, transport, load customer orders, and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate powered industrial trucks and AGVs.
  • Scheduling: Monitor schedules and coordinate with teams to ensure delivery.
  • Operational Monitoring: Observe and adjust warehousing, loading, and shipping activities for optimal performance.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned.
  • TPM Support: Support TPM initiatives, perform maintenance, participate in Kaizen activities, and collaborate on improvements.
  • Team Engagement: Support business meetings, analyze data, adapt to changes, and foster teamwork and respectful communication.
Total Rewards:
  • Starting at $22.72/hour, increasing to $23.94/hour after 6 months.
  • Night shift differential: +$1/hour (Mon-Thu), +$2/hour (Fri-Sun).

Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, automated environment and understand complex warehouse systems.
  • Mathematical skills for calculations and improvements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP preferred.
  • Self-motivated team player capable of working independently.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift/push/pull 75 pounds regularly.
