Job summary

The LKQ Corporation in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a warehouse associate to receive inbound stock, pick and pack orders, and prepare shipments. You may operate forklifts and related equipment to move products within the warehouse. Responsibilities include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and organizing inventory.

This role offers a $20.00/hr wage, a 3:00pm–11:30pm schedule (OT may be required), and benefits. A High School Diploma or GED and up to 1 year of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Up to 1 year of related work experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform basic math and read/work with numbers.
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive and put away inbound product to designated location.
• Pick and pull correct product and deliver to staging area/delivery truck.
• Operate manual or powered equipment to move product within the warehouse.
• Sort and place parts on racks and shelves according to plan.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and follow company policies.

Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Basic computer skills.Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records.Problems encountered are simple, repetitive, and generally solved by clear directions and procedures.Follows standard procedures with no decision making involved.Uses guidance/guidelines provide by supervisor/manager.Assignments/priorities provided by supervisor/manager. Essential Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods of time.The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
