Job summary

LKQ Corporation in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking motivated individuals for a warehouse role with opportunities for growth. Pay is $20.00 per hour with great benefits and a schedule of 3:00pm - 11:30pm (or until work is completed); overtime may be required.

Responsibilities include receiving stock, picking and packing orders, operating forklifts/order pickers/pallet jacks, and maintaining a clean, safe warehouse.

Qualifications

• Up to 1 year of work related experience.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Warehouse environment with PIT equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and put away inbound stock to designated location.
• Pick and pull correct product from locations and deliver to staging area/delivery truck.
• Operate manual or powered equipment to transport product in the warehouse.
• Sort and place parts on racks, shelves, or bins according to sequence.
• Maintain orderliness and housekeeping in the work area.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Pay $20.00hr plus GREAT benefits! Schedule 3:00pm - 1130pm (or until work is completed), OT may be required.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities can include duties aligned with shipping and/or receiving, processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. May also be responsible for operating manual/powered equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.

• Assumes other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Not responsible for supervising employees.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience Up to 1 year of work related experience.

Preferred Requirements

High School Diploma/GED. Warehouse, or similar, work environment, prior PIT (forklift, order picker, etc) experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic messages communicated orally.
• May write brief messages and keep simple records.
• Problems encountered are simple, repetitive, and generally solved by clear directions and procedures.
• Follows standard procedures with no decision making involved.
• Uses guidance/guidelines provide by supervisor/manager.
• Assignments/priorities provided by supervisor/manager.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods of time. The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels. Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements). Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
