Job summary

Palmer Hamilton, LLC is seeking a dependable Warehouse Laborer to support inventory control and warehouse operations. The role requires experience operating forklifts and using RF scanners to reliably receive, store, and stage materials in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with a team, follow OSHA guidelines and company safety policies, and perform cycle counts and shipping preparation while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift operating experience required; certification preferred or ability to obtain on hire.
• Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally more with assistance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document inventory accurately.
• Good organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork across departments.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move and organize materials.
• Use RF scanners and WMS to receive, track, and update inventory in real time.
• Load and unload trucks and trailers with care and accuracy.
• Pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment per standards and customer requirements.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory audits for accuracy.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organized storage areas and equipment.
• Follow safety policies and OSHA regulations to reduce accidents and injuries.
• Communicate with supervisors and teammates to meet deadlines and resolve issues.
• Assist in identifying process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform other duties to support warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move, stack, and organize materials.
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to receive, track, and update inventory in real time.
• Load and unload trucks and trailers, ensuring products are handled with care and accuracy.
• Pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Previous forklift operating experience required; valid certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. regularly, and occasionally more with assistance.
• Strong attention to detail with proven ability to follow instructions and accurately document inventory.
• Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse team members.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and professional workplace.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, or flexible shifts as needed to meet business demands.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a warehouse setting with exposure to moving forklifts, varying temperatures, and moderate to loud noise levels. Employees are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as provided by the company.
