Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a warehouse selector to read stickers, locate items, and efficiently fill customer orders within a warehouse setting. The role requires operating forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring safe handling, and adhering to HACCP and safety training protocols.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma/GED and 3–5 years of warehousing experience, with five years in warehousing and powered industrial trucks preferred; OSHA trainer certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read computer-generated stickers to determine items to be selected and their location
• Convey items from warehouse slot to pallet to fill customer orders
• Place materials on pallets to ensure efficient delivery and safe handling
• Sort and stack perishable goods in refrigeration, freezer, or dry pallets as required
• Mark materials with identifying information by attaching stickers
• Operate hand pallet jack to move palletized items to loading dock
• Shrink-wrap pallets correctly
• Complete training in accident reporting, safety, and HACCP
• Train warehouse staff and drivers in safe operation of powered industrial trucks
• Follow supervisor instructions and perform related duties as required

Position Summary

From warehouse storage areas, trains selectors to fill customer orders

Position Responsibilities

• Read computer generated stickers to determine items to be selected and where to locate the items.
• Conveys items from warehouse slot to pallet to fill customer orders.
• Places materials or items on pallets to insure best order for ease of delivery and safety of product.
• Sorts and stacks perishable goods in refrigerated, freezer or dry pallets, depending on type of product being selected.
• Marks materials with identifying information, by attaching sticker to product.
• Operates hand pallet jack to transport palletized items from warehouse storage area to loading dock.
• Shrinks wrap pallets correctly
• Completes initial training in accident reporting, safety and HACCP.
• Trains warehouse and drivers in the safe operation of powered industrial trucks (forklifts / pallet jacks)
• Incumbents will follow any other instructions, and perform any other related duties, as may be required by their supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

3 - 5 Years

Five years related experience in warehousing and powered industrial trucks.

Preferred qualifications

OSHA certified trainer for powered industrial trucks
