Job summary

Accel Entertainment, Inc. seeks a Warehouse Technician in Peoria, IL to support warehouse and field activities for gaming and ATM equipment. You will inspect, prepare, install, and decommission assets, with increasing independence across Technician I–III levels.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, basic electronics knowledge, and safe operation of forklifts. A valid CDL/Class C may be required for advanced duties; lifetime learning and teamwork are encouraged.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required for all levels; technical coursework preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred and safe operation of material handling equipment recommended.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn electronics related to gaming and ATM equipment.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and instruments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse-based inspection, movement, cleaning, and preparation of gaming and ATM equipment.
  • Assist with installation, removal, and decommissioning of assets at customer sites.
  • Operate forklifts and hand trucks; maintain organization and report issues.

This is a three-level progression based on technical proficiency, level of experience, independence, quality, and contribution to team capability.**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES****Warehouse Technician I*** Performs a broad range of warehouse and equipment-support functions based on operational needs, including receiving, cleaning, staging, moving, loading, unloading, installing, and preparing video gaming terminals, ticket redemption machines, ATMs, amusement equipment, parts, and other company assets* Performs basic equipment inspections, cleaning, parts removal, installation, and equipment disassembly/reassembly using established procedures and work instructions.* Removes, replaces, and installs common equipment components and peripherals, including locks and related components, in accordance with approved controls and procedures.* Safely operates and uses material-handling and labor-saving equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, hand trucks, and similar equipment.* Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary to perform assigned warehouse and equipment-related duties.* Be cross-trained and assigned to different warehouse and equipment-support functions based on operational needs.* Assist with equipment installations, removals, exchanges, and other field-related activities as needed.* Completes assigned work accurately, maintains warehouse and work-area organization, and reports damaged equipment, safety concerns, inventory needs, and other identified issues.* Follows all department, company, safety, and gaming-regulatory procedures and provides professional internal and external customer service.**Warehouse Technician II*** Performs all Warehouse Technician I duties with greater independence and demonstrates increased technical proficiency with gaming, amusement, ATM, and associated equipment.* Inspects, tests, cleans, diagnoses, repairs, prepares, and decommissions equipment using established procedures and appropriate diagnostic tools.* Identifies and resolves common electronic, mechanical, peripheral, and configuration issues; completes routine repairs and appropriately escalates problems requiring advanced technical support.* Removes, replaces, and installs common equipment components and peripherals, including locks and related components, in accordance with approved controls and procedures.* Has working knowledge of VGT and amusement equipment and performs troubleshooting to determine appropriate repair, component replacement, or escalation.* Assists with equipment readiness and quality checks prior to deployment.* Safely operates and uses appropriate material-handling and labor-saving equipment when moving, preparing, repairing, or staging equipment.* Lead field installations, removals, and exchanges, including equipment movement, setup, component installation, and technical support.* Coordinates parts and inventory needs and assists with maintaining efficient equipment flow through the warehouse.* Troubleshoots and resolves routine equipment and installation issues encountered at customer locations and appropriately escalates issues requiring additional technical or operational support.* Documents completed work and identified equipment issues accurately and communicates technical information clearly.* Assists with training and development of Warehouse Technician I employees and models safe work practices and procedural compliance.**Warehouse Technician III*** Performs all Warehouse Technician I and II duties with a high degree of independence and demonstrates the technical and operational proficiency necessary to support both warehouse and field activities.* Safely operates assigned company vehicles and maintains all driver's license, DOT, medical, or other qualifications required for those vehicles.* Lead complex deliveries, installs, removes, exchanges, and transports video gaming terminals and other assigned equipment at customer locations without direct supervision.* Safely loads, secures, transports, unloads, moves, and positions equipment using appropriate material-handling and labor-saving equipment, including dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other approved devices.* Independently performs equipment setup, installation, connection, testing, and verification necessary to complete assigned installations and removals.* Troubleshoots and resolves equipment and installation issues encountered at customer locations and appropriately escalates issues requiring additional technical or operational support.* Completes all required installation, removal, device-entry, equipment, and regulatory documentation accurately and timely.* Communicates professionally with customers and other stakeholders while representing the company at customer locations.* Performs and supports quality checks to ensure equipment is complete, operational, and ready for deployment.* Assists with training and development of Warehouse Technician I and II employees and models safe work practices and procedural compliance.* Supports special projects, process improvements, equipment initiatives, and other warehouse or field activities based on operational needs.**QUALIFICATIONS****Common Requirements for All Levels*** At least 21 years of age* With training, ability to use hand tools, power tools, test equipment, forklifts, dollies, pallet jacks, and hand trucks**Warehouse Technician I Experience*** High school diploma or equivalent required; technical coursework, vocational training, or related warehouse/equipment experience* preferred.* Forklift certified preferred* Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn electronic theory, equipment handling, and established repair procedures.* No prior gaming equipment experience required; 0-1 year of relevant technical, warehouse, mechanical, or equipment-maintenance experience preferred.**Warehouse Technician II Experience*** Two or more years of relevant experience repairing, maintaining, installing, or troubleshooting electronic, gaming, ATM, amusement, or similar equipment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.* Demonstrated working knowledge of basic electronic theory and mechanics and proficiency with diagnostic tools and instruments.* Ability to independently complete routine diagnostics and repairs, manage competing priorities, and communicate technical issues clearly.**Warehouse Technician III Experience*** Able to obtain and maintain an Illinois Gaming Board Terminal Handler's License.* Class C Commercial Driver’s License* Four or more years of progressive technical experience in gaming, ATM, amusement, electronics, or comparable equipment maintenance and repair;
