Job summary

Delgado Community College is seeking a Warehouse Technician to support the Property Control department with Shipping and Receiving processes on campus. No experience or training is required, and successful candidates will assist in package receipt, inventory tagging, and asset handling.

The role involves lifting 50 pounds+, operating basic warehouse equipment, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Appointment type may be probationary with related background checks.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic operation support tasks in Shipping & Receiving warehouse, including inventory handling, clerical, custodial and light mobile equipment operation tasks (frequent forklift use, hand trucks, pallet jacks and driving a fleet vehicle).
• Receives packages using tracking software, unloads incoming stock/equipment. Assists in tagging new assets in accordance with established property control procedures.
• Delivers items and copy paper campus-wide. Ability to lift 50+ pounds frequently.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the warehouse by sweeping, wiping, and taking out trash. Becomes familiar with safety procedures for warehouse operations.

Delgado Community College needs to fill a Warehouse Technician position with a dedicated and detail oriented individual to support the Property Control department with Shipping and Receiving processes.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Probational - This position may be filled as a Probationary Appointment requiring 12-24 months on probation.
