Job summary

Groundworks, North America’s leader in foundation solutions, seeks a Warehouse Technician to support field teams by organizing materials, tools, and equipment for daily jobs. You will manage receiving, storage, and distribution while ensuring safety and efficiency on site.

The role requires forklift operation, attention to detail, and reliability with potential overtime and growth within a nationally respected company.

Qualifications

• OSHA knowledge and forklift license preferred but not required.
• Structural foundations, waterproofing knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to drive light commercial vehicles as required.
• Proficient with computers, tablets and software.

Responsibilities

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution of materials and equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness of the warehouse.
• Ensures the warehouse is properly secured at all times.
• Assists with inventory of products in the warehouse.
• Receives materials, unloads trucks, handles materials, breaks down pallets.
• Organizes inventory area and tool room based on best practices.
• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment.
• Overtime may be required; report on time every day.
• All other duties assigned.

The Warehouse Technician ensures the receipt, coordination, organization, and safe storage of materials within the warehouse. The Warehouse Technician tracks delivery arrival and dispatch times, confirms quantities of items needed, and stages materials for production.Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution of materials and equipment.Maintains cleanliness of the warehouse.Ensures the warehouse is properly secured at all times.Assists with maintaining the inventory of products in the warehouse.Receives materials, unloads trucks, handles materials, breaks down pallets, and organizes materials.Organizes inventory area and tool room in the warehouse based on operational best practices.Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles issues expeditiously, and proactively, and follows through to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and various warehouse equipment.We work until the job is done right - occasional overtime is required.It is an essential function of this job that the employee regularly and reliably reports to work on time each working day.All other duties assigned.QualificationsKnowledge of current OSHA and Forklift Operators license preferred but not requiredKnowledge and understanding of structural foundations, waterproofing and products a plusExcellent communication skills both written, oral/verbal requiredAbility to drive light commercial vehicles as requiredAbility to navigate comfortably on computers, tablets and computer softwareMust be professional in manner and appearanceWorking ConditionsThe position lifts heavy objects and/or up to 50 lbs., walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor.The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively lifts and carries heavy loads.The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand and arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. Final compensation will be based on an evaluation of each candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, demonstrated capabilities, and work location.
